Finally, my last lamb of the season was born last week, a single ram lamb. I knew this ewe was due around the 4th, as I saw her re-breed in February. She was right on time, delivering on the 3rd. I didn’t have any reason to be concerned about her, I could tell she would only single. But I brought her into the barn anyway, just to remind me to keep an eye on her. This lamb makes 48, so really small crop for me, I was really shooting for 60+. Better luck next year!
It’s nice to finally have all the sheep back out in the pasture (though some weaners have been rotating through the barn getting ready for new homes). And I can finally put away all of my lambing equipment!
